Phil and Donna from Knoxville, TN, share their experience at Adore Marriage

The Adore Marriage team asked Phil and Donna what they thought of the Adore Marriage weekend and here is what they had to say:

Whether your marriage is doing just fine or floundering, Adore Marriage is a great place to remember that God adores marriage. If you have ever heard someone say, “I mop my kitchen every week whether it needs it or not,” then you will understand when I say this marriage conference would be great whether you feel like you need it or not. Life has a way of soiling our marriages whether we realize it. My husband and I went last year because our life circumstances were hard, not our marriage. But we were encouraged, enlightened, uplifted. There were moments when we laughed, moments when we were challenged to be better spouses, and moments when we said “oh…. NOW I understand why you do that”.

Eddie and Janet lead the conference. Russel and Kristi lead the worship, and they DO lead you in worship. They have an authentic, loving marriage themselves, and model Biblical marriage and parenting to all those around. Held in Myrtle Beach, the setting is wonderful, and attention is paid to the smallest of details in all areas of this conference. I believe every Christian couple needs to make their marriage a priority. In Ephesians 5 when Paul is describing what marriage should be like, verse 29 says, “This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one.” This conference is a great way to make important to you what is important to God. You will be so glad that you came.
